Overview
During 1990 -2000, I travelled to, took photographs, played on the golf courses, and wrote articles for regional golf magazines. “Golf à la Cart” is a book containing a selection of those golf travel articles. Articles/chapters include golf courses in Williamsburg, Virginia; West Virginia; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; golf courses in Jamaica; golf courses in the Piedmont; the Maverick Golf Trail; and Roanoke Golf Courses.
“Golf à la Cart” also contains articles and columns/chapters I wrote about the golf environment. Subjects include Golf Etiquette, Senior Golfer, Being a Guest at a Country Club, LPGA is Better, Play it Forward, and Tiger Woods 2.0.
Author Peter Smolens is a writer, photographer, and digital painter who has published articles, photographs, and digital paintings articles in newspapers, magazines, and online publications. Publications include Washington Golf Monthly, GolfStyles, Washington, and Golf Illustrated magazines. A former Assistant Golf Pro, today he plays golf for exercise and fun. “Golf a la Cart: Selected Adventures on the Golf Course” is his third book.
