Digital Art Press releases “Creating Digital Paintings” on Amazon

Digital Art Press, a division of P.B.S. Studios, is proud to announce a new book called “Creating Digital Paintings.” It’s a hands-on, practical guide showing how to create digital paintings using your computer, a graphics tablet, and Adobe Photoshop. Available through Amazon.com, “Creating Digital Paintings.” is a revised, updated, and expanded version of the 2019 publication of “Digital Photo Painting using Adobe Photoshop.

Art Show at Patriot High School on December 2nd

I’ll be a part of Manassas Art Group (MAG) this Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Patriot High School, Nokesville, VA. I’ll be showing framed and unframed digital paintings and my 2024 P.B.S. Studios Calendar.

MAG Art Show at Bull Run Library

I’m happy to announce that I’m one of the artists participating in the MAG Art Show at Bull Run Library. When you walk into the front lobby of the Bull Run Library in Manassas, VA, you can see a couple of my digital paintings as part of the art. The theme of the show was “Coming of Spring.” The “Mary B.” and “Dan Gibson Canoe” are the digital paintings selected for the art show. The MAG Art Show at Bull Run Library will be up during the month of March.

Fairfax Art Show

I have four digital paintings in the Winter 2023 “A Tribute to NOVA Fine Artists” art show at the Stacy C. Sherwood Rotary Gallery inside the Fairfax Community Center. Presented by the Artist Coalition of Fairfax, the Stacy C. Sherwood Rotary Center is located at 3740 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA. Stop by the community center gallery and see incredible art created by Northern Virginia artists. You can also see the art online at the Artist Coalition of Fairfax website. 2021 Manassas Banners Look Great

Next time you’re in downtown Manassas, VA look up at the light poles and see great art. This year, I’m lucky to have three banners flying over the streets of Manassas. Two of the banners are on Battle Street and one corner of Church and West Street across from the Manassas Post Office.

Art Inventory Sale Saturday

Remember, these images are some of the new pieces for sale at the Art Inventory Sale next Saturday, April 24, from 1-5 PM at the Harris Pavilion in downtown Manassas, VA. Manassas Art Guild (MAG), of which I am a member, will have a stall. Please stop by and see some terrific art done by local artists. I won the AWAI Barefoot Writer‘s Monthly Essay Contest

I won the AWAI Barefoot Writer Magazine monthly contest for January 2020 with an essay called “Persistence – The Cornerstone of Writing”, I hope everyone enjoys the essay.

P.B.S. Studio 2021 Calendars Preview Slider

P.B.S. Studios have put together a webpage with an image slider so you can preview the P.B.S. Studios 2021 Calendars. This webpage shows the 13 reproductions of my digital photo-paintings. The cover digital photo-painting is called “After Sunset Cabin” I tried to match up the paintings with the seasons.

The calendar selections are landscapes and part of my Bob Ross emulation series. The series is my tribute to the most underrated painter in American history. In this series I tried to emulate his wonderful oil paintings, creating digital paintings using Adobe Photoshop.

After looking at the images contained in the slider, if you want to purchase the P.B.S. Studios 2021 Calendar, the price is $20.00 plus $5.00 for shipping and handling. May 5, 2019 – P.B.S. Studios is proud to announce that I am Manassas Art Guild (MAG) Artist of the Month (AoTM) for May 2019. Each month an artist from MAG is selected to display a selection if their art in local shops and restaurants in downtown Manassas, VA.
