Holiday Card Gallery

Since 2007 I have been creating holiday cards for family, friends, and publication ‘clients. Here is a collection of Holiday Cards that I have created over the years. How many do you remember?
Brief History of my Holiday Card Collection
Set the “Way-Back Machine” to 2007. I sent out my first holiday card to a few golf magazines writing for (or at least querying to promote P.B.S. Studios, Writer – Photographer business. It’s called “Golf World”
2008 – 2010 – I don’t have records of what holiday cards I sent to publication clients. I know I sent one each year, but I can’t find the originals. I know one of the years I sent one of my favorite Cape Cod pictures of the Chatham Windmill at Sunset.
Starting in 2011 after I met my artist friend and mentor Laura Lavarnway and heard about her Santa’s, I decided to follow her lead and create a holiday card based on a digital painting. I have created one each year since then. 2025 make 14 years of sending holiday cards to family, friends, and corporate (book, newspapers, magazine, and online clients.)
My digital painting holiday cards subjects often revolved around a nature theme. Deer, Birds and Cats are popular subjects, although my wife Linda has made an appearance in a few cards.
Technical Information
I used a Nikon camera and lenses to create all the photographs displayed on the holiday card digital painting or photographic composite webpage. Before digital, I took original 35mm slides, which I converted to digital and edited in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
All the digital paintings and photographs displayed on this webpage are the copyright of P.B.S. Studios. They are available for sale for personal use or publication. Some people’s photography are linked to my Etsy Store or purchased directly from P.B.S. Studios. For additional information, Contact P.B.S. Studios.
I’m also available for commission. You can select one of my existing cards or I can turn a photo of any subject that you captured into a digital painting for a holiday greeting card. If you have a photo that you want to be created into a digital painting holiday greeting card, let me know. I’m always looking for interesting photos of birds to paint. Contact me using my P.B.S. Studios Contact Form.
