Digital Painting – Animals – Cats webpage features a selection of digital paintings from my Cat Series, showcasing our cats. Over the years, we’ve had ten cats. Each one has their own personality. Because of their playfulness and inquisitive nature, our cats are perfect subjects. All those activities tend to wear them out, it’s not surprising to see them sleeping right next to each other.

Smolens Cats

Over the years the following cats have been a part of the Smolens family. Most have assisted in the learning and development of my digital painting process. Unfortunately, most of the cats have gone to the great kitty sandbox in the sky. I’m sure their waiting for use and their brothers and sisters.

As noted in all my book Acknowledgement, Digital Painting – Animals – Cats have been my constant companions while I write. Sunshine is currently sleeping on my Epson Printer. Daisy used to sleep on the top of my high-backed office chair. Daisy had a foolproof way of forcing me to take a break from writing by hoping up on my office table, walk over and park herself on my keyboard. Looking at me as if to say, “I’m not moving until you take a break and cuddle me!” It worked.
